This instrument was an overstock from Ovation when we picked it up about five years ago. It is not stamped used or 2ND and the original serial number is present and not tampered with. We have held onto it stored in hard case, and it’s time to let it go! The guitar does not have any play wear and even still has the plastic factory film over the tuner on the preamp.

Experimental guitar virtuoso Kaki King collaborated with Ovation to design this high-performance instrument. Representing exceptional value, this Kaki King Signature features a AA solid Spruce soundboard with Scalloped "X", and a super shallow deep bowl cutaway composite body. The 5-piece mahogany/maple neck has a rosewood fretboard, and signature Kaki King appointments including a Kaki King Crown 12 Fret inlay. The Kaki King Signature sports Ovation’s High Output pickup and OP-Pro preamp, and comes with a hardshell case.

How Does It Play?

We have given the guitar a full setup. The neck sets up perfectly with the appropriate relief. The string action measures just 5/64” at the 12^th fret across all strings. We have also tested all electronics and hardware and the guitar is 100% ready to play.
