What Do We Think?

The Novo Nucleus Solus H2 is a great take on the classic double humbucker solid body electric. The lightweight pine body resonates extremely well, and is incredibly loud unplugged. Plugged into an amp this translates to beautiful singing sustain even when clean! We are really impressed just how articulate and vocal this model is.

The Fralin Pure PAF’s pave the way to incredible tones. The neck pickup is warm in the best way. It’s smokey and bluesy. Clear and articulate while remaining warm and inviting.

The bridge pickup rocks and rolls. It punches when you dig but is never harsh or too bright. It sounds amazing for rhythm, and it will handle whatever gets thrown at it with ease. Clean it is clear and sparkly, and dirty it has all the right grit.

How Does It Play?

The chunky C neck has a classic round back profile but in true Novo fashion, remains comfortable and accessible all the way. The 24.75” neck furthers the resemblance to an obvious single cut predecessor, as does the 1-11/16” nut width. The string action hovers right around 4/64” at the 12, nice and low without fretbuzz anywhere on the neck.
