Are you looking for all the syrupy goodness of the Serus J, but without the vibrato? The Serus P2 is the answer! The Novo Nucleus series Serus P2 features a Tempered Pine body, East Indian Rosewood fretboard and a Tempered Maple neck. The result is unsurpassed resonance that maintains both warmth and articulation.

The Fralin P-90s are the perfect spice in the organic recipe, equally big and clear as the acoustic resonance of the guitar. The neck position has a soulful lower midrange, with a mild scoop in the upper mids that makes it delightfully expressive. The bridge pickup fills out that upper midrange for a thick bark that loves cleans and overdrives alike. Combining the two pickups in the middle position delivers a pristine, sparkly sheen.

The process Novo uses to cure their woods draws out a character typically found only in vintage guitars with decades of natural aging. The traditional methods of baking can result in a guitar sounding and feeling a little stiff. But Novo’s tempering process brings out a resonance than makes the guitar feel perfectly broken in. We thoroughly enjoy the results.

How Does It Play?

Novo’s medium C neck profile is a delight to play, with the finish sanded down on the back of the neck for a silky smooth feel. The fretwork is superb and the guitar sets up nice and low without buzz. No surprises there!
