The S-Style that never was! The Kauer Electroliner features a Swamp Ash or Tempered Pine body and a Roasted Maple neck with Wenge or Roasted Maple fretboard. Full 25.5” scale length, big resonance and tight response, beautiful “in-between” position tones and a whole lot more to love.

What Do We Think?

Lollar Blonde neck & middle, Special S in bridge. This is a combination that has REALLY grown on us. It’s just a super pickup set for a maple neck Strat. The Blondes have big, blooming lows and sparkling highs. They sound rich and full, but never congested. The Special S has an extra kick in the midrange and a little bump in output to balance just right with the neck & middle.

The in-between positions are to die for as well. The roasted maple neck lends a slightly compressed and focused authority to the quintessential quack. The extra mass of the Highwood Contoured Saddles encourages plenty of bottom, punch and support. No volume drop in these positions either!

At 8lb 11oz on the spec sheet, this guitar may not appear at first glance to be light on its toes. But weight can be deceiving. The body rings loud and true, and the guitar responds nimbly to every nuance in your playing.

How Does It Play?

Currently strung with 9-42’s, this guitar has an amazingly slinky feel that falls so easily under the fingers all the way up and down the neck. The is a healthy medium C, measuring .83” at the first fret and .93” at the 12^th. The frets are PLEK’d perfectly and the string action hovers right around 4/64” at the 12^th fret across all strings.
