What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!
The Pro SL2Q HT MAH's features include a mahogany body with a quilt maple top and a one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods to provide stiffness and high stability. Its 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing. Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair
of modern Seymour Duncan® Distortion humbucking pickups drives this guitar’s voice, combining for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion.
This particular guitar has blemishes in the pickup covers and a very slight bit of haziness in the finish on the back of the body. This is impossible to capture on camera. Anything you think you may see in the photos of the back, honestly it's reflections from the light in the
photo studio. Still, we wanted to let you know its there if you look real
close in person. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.
How Does It Play?
We have given this fine instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. We have the string action set at 5/64" on the low E at the 12th fret and 4/64" on the high E, still with room
to dig in and bend without buzz. If you play with a lighter touch, it can
go even lower!
A new Guardian Cases hardshell case can be added to US orders for $95 or to international orders for $115.
