Serial #3962H64, this 1958 Silvertone is in very good condition with no body, neck or headstock repairs. The frets are in really nice shape. Harpeth Guitar Restorations here in the Nashville sealed up a crack in the rosewood fretboard and you can’t even tell. He also installed a new nut. We have included a link for a full video Harpeth put together! https://youtu.be/SUiy_Nw_viU?si=MnIZo8Gps_ULogBi
The body shows normal signs of wear but does not have any structural cracks or binding delamination. Same with neck. It has some wear along the sides and only feels better for it! The electronics a super clean. No scratch or crackle in the pots or switches. The neck pickup reads 8.0k and the bridge pickup reads 8.8k.
How Does It Play?
We have given this guitar a full setup. The string action measures just 5/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and 4/64” on the high E, without buzz. The frets are nicely crowned with no divots and plenty of life.
