This 1998 Heritage H-555 is a really clean find. Superb example of flamed maple and very little by way of play wear to distract from its beauty. If you look super close you’ll find some light scratches and tiny dings in the clearcoat on the back but still, absolutely amazing condition for a 1998 build.
The frets have only the lightest signs of fret divots, and we have included photos so you can take a look. The back of the neck has only two small marks—one is a barely-present impression in the clearcoat on the treble side at approximately the 3rd fret and the other is a fingernail-sized dent on the bass side around the 14th fret.
The pickguard, bridge and tuners have been swapped out but the originals are included in the case! The pots function cleanly and the Schaller pickups sound fantastic, bridge dated 03-98-05 and neck 03-97-04.
How Does It Play?
We have given this guitar a full check-over and setup. The string action splits the difference between 4/64” and 5/64” on the low E string, and the high E sits right at 4/64”. Currently strung with D’Addario 10-46 but we can set it up for larger guage if preferred.
