This 2006 Gibson Firebird VII shows some expected play wear and the usual tarnishing on the gold hardware. The frets are in excellent shape without any divots. The back of the neck is smooth to the touch. The finish on the headstock and body has scratches and small dings in the clearcoat, but there is nothing that goes through the finish color.

All electronics are clean and original. No scratchy pots. The pickups sound superb. The tuners are original as well, and as Firebird tuners usually go, don’t have a super fine gear ratio but they do function properly and hold tune well.

How Does It Play?

We have given this guitar a full setup. The string action measures a touch above 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret and right at 4/64” on the high E string. There is no fretbuzz and the neck adjusts properly.
