The Artist Series violin model is based on the 500/1 as made in 1963, with twin “Staple” pickups, 2-on-a-strip tuners, fully hollow body and slim unbound short-scale 2-piece neck. Maple back and sides with a spruce top. The hi-gloss poly finish ensures that this bass will take the knocks and bangs of life on the road. 

We would like to point out that the black finish does tend to show blemishes a bit easier than a sunburst. While this is a new bass, please allow for minor finish imperfections and some natural variation in binding color between white and cream.

How Does It Play?

We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop. From truss rod to nut slots, pickup heights to saddle heights, you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!
