The Puma is the offset queen. With a very well-balanced body design and comfortable curves, this guitar features a shorter 24.75” scale for an easy-playing, spongy feel. Select either a Mastery trem, Bigsby trem, or ResoMax wraptail, and choose from a variety of pickup configurations, and outfit the Puma in your choice of retro-inspired finish options.

What Do We Think?

This thing resonates! Like the kind you can feel in your chest. It is nimble, yet powerful. The 24.75” scale takes queues from a Gibson, as does our choice of mini humbuckers (think Les Paul Deluxe). But you’ve got Fender stylings as well, such as a 6-in-line headstock with straight string pulls… great for tuning stability… and an offset body that is somewhere Mustang-meets-Jaguar.

The Lollar mini humbuckers have guts, but clarity. The neck position has delivers fat, articulate tones that make an amp sizzle as you dig in. The middle position is quick and clear. The bridge position nails classic 70’s rock tones, meaty on bottom and transparent on top. You can also roll the tone knob back to achieve the more tapered top end and the midrange emphasis of a full size humbucker.

The Cosmic Blue colorshift nitro finish varies blue to deep purple depending on the angle of the light. It hard to catch in photos but quite impressive in person. The aged pearloid block inlays are another gorgeous cosmetic addition to the guitar. And a vividly flamey roasted maple neck!

How Does It Play?

The string action measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E at the 12th fret, and right at 4/64” on the high E. The neck profile is a medium C that leans just a touch chunky, and the fretboard binding further conjures the feel of a classic late 50’s Gibson.
