The GB7C Garth Brooks signature model was designed as a collaboration between Takamine R&D and country legend Garth Brooks. This model matches a solid cedar top, finished in a silky smooth natural satin finish, to a solid rosewood back and features a unique soundhole that mirrors the shape of the guitar.

Sonically, the guitar performs well in soft fingerstyle passages and aggressive strumming. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional, ultra strong dovetail joint. Includes Takamine's CT4B II preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic™ under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. The highly acclaimed CT4B II features three-band EQ, volume control and built-in tuner.

What Do We Think?

The GB7C is an astonishingly lively cedar top guitar. If you appreciate the warmth and rich mid register associated with a cedar top guitar, but tend to miss the clarity and sparkle that you find in your spruce top guitars, then the GB7C is for you! It has a very balanced EQ range, from a crisp low end to a warm, complex midrange to a vibrant upper register.

How Does It Play?

We give a thorough setup to every instrument that comes through our shop. From truss rod to nut slots, fretwork to saddle height, you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!

The GB7C ships with Takamine's lightweight, protective semi-hard case.
