What Do We Think?

Here at Guitars To Be Played, we have been very impressed with the TL thinline acoustics. Yes, they are great guitars to play casually on the couch or to sit down with for a writing session. But where they really shine is plugged in. The Fishman pickup and preamp deliver surprisingly big tones through a PA, nice and full on the bottom but sweet and clear on the top. The preamp has just the right amount of EQ control onboard and the thinline body naturally cuts down on stage feedback. But most importantly, the TL-12 is exceedingly easy to play without compromising on amplified tone when compared to a full-size acoustic guitar.

How Does It Play?

The TL-12 has a very comfortable thin U (but not too thin) neck profile. The fretwork on these TL’s has been superb. We check everything from truss rod to nut slots to saddle height, and you can rest assured we have this one dialed in. We also do a thorough inspection and check of all electronics and hardware to make sure nothing slips by!
