What Do We Think?

This left-handed beauty features some of our favorite pickups: a Lollar Low Wind P-90 in the neck position and Imperial humbucker in the bridge. The low wind P-90 really “opens up” the tone of the neck position, ensuring the midrange is clean and musical. Harnessing the acoustic properties of the swamp ash semi-hollow body, the tones are warm and sweet with a perfect “air” on top.

The Imperial humbucker in the bridge pushes out sweetly-focused midrange between nuanced lows and highs. With just a touch of natural compression, this is the perfect position to really make your amp sing with the gain bumped up. Looking for iridescent clean tones? The middle position supplies heaps of Gretsch-like chime over a big, vocal bottom end. Regardless of pickup position, you’ll find beautiful sustain and eloquent articulation alongside gorgeous semi-hollow warmth.

How Does It Play?

This beauty sets up with string action of just 4/64” on the low E at the 12^th fret and even lower on the high E. That’s without any fretbuzz whatsoever. From the 60’s-inspired C neck profile to the contoured neck heel to the tummy cut on the back of the body, this guitar is built for comfort and ease of play.
