Zemaitis offered closeout prices on this discontinued model and we are passing the savings along! The guitar has never been owned. We have had a few stashed and waiting for the right time.
These are extraordinarily resonant guitars. The mahogany body and mahogany set neck pair wonderfully with the engraved metal top to produce an instrument that is not only visually striking, but is also equal parts warm, lively and articulate. The D2 Classic pickups deliver high output but crisp, enunciated tones. From the nearly Tele-like bite of the bridge position to the glassy sparkle of the middle and the thick, bluesy grind of the neck position, this guitar is ready to cover some serious ground. The necks is slim and comfortable, the fretwork is flawless.
This particular instrument has two very light dings on the rear edge of the body. We have included a close-up photo that shows both. These are subtle, and the instrument is in flawless condition otherwise.
How Does It Play?
We have this guitar set up with nice low string action, measuring barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret and a tad under 4/64” on the high E. There is no fretbuzz! These guitars honestly have some of the best fretwork we have ever seen on an imported guitar line. The hardware and build quality is phenomenal all around.
