The Alt de Facto series is Fano’s top-of-the-line custom series. These are handbuilt in the USA by one luthier from start to finish so that every instrument tells a unique and cohesive story. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish on both the body and neck of course. What Do We Think?

The Lollar Special T in the bridge offers a killer balance of traditional twang and substantial body without having to sacrifice either. The thinline body style also adds an element of air on top allowing this pickup position to shine in a multitude of scenarios.

The Lollar Firebird in the neck sounds magnificent in this shorter scale length. It adds just the right amount of brilliance while delivering creamy lead lines with tasteful natural compression and some spank when playing more aggressively.

When combining the pickups in the middle position you get some great snap and body for clean pop-inspired licks and crisp lead lines. The tone-shaping on this guitar is very versatile for only having three knobs. It sports not only a traditional tone knob, but also a low-end cut allowing you to clean up bass frequencies as much as you desire.

How Does It Play?

Very low without any fretbuzz. This one sets up at 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret and 3/64” on the high E. The late ‘50s neck profile fills out the hand nicely and without any discomfort.
