Offered in the US only through Guitars To Be Played, we are incredibly excited to announce a special Limited run of Fano JM4 Standards!
This run features Lollar Thunderbirds, Schaller tuners and a variety of color and pickguard options not normally offered on the Standard series. With a full 34” scale length, the Lollar Thunderbird pickups are tight, responsive, and big on the low end. If you appreciate a bass that is thick and punchy yet incredibly articulate all at the same time, this one will quickly become your go-to. Double stops and chords retain excellent clarity; single notes are full-bodied and completely gratifying. The tone knob dials in the punch and “bite” and is musical throughout its entire sweep.
How Does It Play?
Under 5/64” on the low E at the 12th fret and 4/64” on the high E. The necks and fretwork on these Fano basses are flawless. The profile is a nice medium C, not too deep but with a comfortable amount of shoulder on it to support the hand. This “closet relic” will appeal to those who prefer to put their own finish dings and wear on their instruments, and the thin nitro finish will allow for that over time. And of course, that thin lacquer also lets the alder body resonate to its fullest.
Weight: 9lb 12oz
The Fano Custom padded gigbag is included.
