Each Fano Oltre series guitar is handbuilt in the USA using an old-growth North American Alder body, maple neck and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The result is a resonant, lively instrument crafted with care and precision. This series allows for a number of customizations, from color to pickguard, knobs to pickups. Models can be built with either a maple or rosewood fretboard to meet the needs of a variety of players. What Do We Think?

We spec’d this guitar out with humbuckers and a maple fretboard to give you a perfect blend of warm humbucking tones with the quick response of maple. The voicing on these Fano humbuckers is robust yet articulate, with just the right amount of natural compression to really tighten up your tone. And they have a nice cut that sits just right even with moderate to higher gain amps!

In addition to just the right pairing of specs, this guitar benefits from a lightweight body blank that keeps the weight of the entire guitar to just 7lb 5oz. Finished in classic black with a black plexi pickguard, this guitar is ready to become your next work horse.

How Does It Play?

The string action hovers right around 4/64” at the 12^th fret without any buzz. The frets are beautifully dressed and polished. The back of the neck is sanded down to give a silky smooth feel to the early 60’s-inspired medium C neck profile.
