New Demo with Full Warranty. We are an authorized Fano dealer!
This bass is a floor model here in our shop for customers wanting to check out a JM4 loaded with Lollar Thunderbird pickups. It suffered a little mishap one day and received a small dent on the maple fretboard at the 10th fret. We brought it to Glaser Instruments to have it touched up by the best in the business. The fretboard is smooth to the touch, and on this lightly-distressed finish the touchup blends right in with the rest of the instrument.
We have discounted the bass significantly. The usual MAP price on a JM4 Standard is $1999 BEFORE the upgrade to Lollar Thunderbird pickups, which retail for $210 per pickup! The growl and clarity of a JM4 loaded with Lollars is unsurpassed. Check out the video at the end of the gallery to hear how this bass sounds!
Offered in the US only throughGuitars To Be Played, we are incredibly excited to announce a special Limitedrun of Fano JM4 Standards!
This run features Lollar Thunderbirds, Schaller tuners and a variety ofcolor and pickguard options not normally offered on the Standard series. With afull 34” scale length, the Lollar Thunderbird pickups are tight, responsive, and big on the low end. If you need a bass that is not “bright” but is musicaland articulate, this one will quickly become your .Double stops and chords retain excellent clarity; single notes are full-bodiedand completely gratifying. The tone knob dials in the punch and “bite” and ismusical throughout its entire sweep.
HowDoes It Play?
These comein setup pretty nicely right out of the box from Fano, but we still do our duediligence of a thorough check and a nit-picky setup. The neck is smooth, theaction is low and the fret ends are nicely filed. The light distress option onthis bass is a shop favorite.
