PLEXI/CASCADE
Set to Plexi Mode, you’ll find classic British clean to crunch tones. Set to Cascade Mode, you’ll find tones ranging from soaring solos to modern saturation.
+GAIN
Back in the day, players yearned for even more gain from their British lead style amplifiers and dreamed that this feature could be placed under foot switch control. We’ve added that here and we think its going to make a lot of people happy!
'65 JTM
The JTM45 debuted in ’65 bringing the punch and sustain of a certain American style bass amp but with a decidedly British angst. One circuit common to both was the tone stack featuring a 56k ohm slope resistor and a 250pf treble capacitor. This made for a sweeter tone with emphasis on the melody strings.
'68 JMP
The JMP amplifiers debuted around late ’67 bringing with it a distinctive mid-range frequency slice, increased sustain and of course, more power. One design tweak made a huge impact: a 33k ohm slope resistor and a 470pf treble capacitor. This increased overall gain, slice and punch… mission accomplished.
Preamp Bias Control
The Preamp Bias control is for players who thrive on exploring and crafting new guitar tones. Tube rolling in the preamp section will never be the same. It’s like a cheat code for tone junkies! With the DIRTY SINK 6VEL’s Preamp Bias control it’s possible to craft classic, open vintage British flavored tones as well as more modern, focused higher gain tones and anything in between.
The Preamp Bias control features 4 bias presets that range from “cold” bias to “warm” bias. Cold biasing is a technique that reduces the amount of electrical current flowing through a tube gain stage. The lower the bias, the smaller the current – and the amplification performance of the gain stage occurs in a different portion of the tube’s performance range. This can dramatically alter the tone and feel in unique and pleasing ways.
For example, it is possible to craft a tighter guitar signal with a more focused dynamic response when running a gain stage with a lower bias current (cold bias). Conversely, it is possible to craft a fat, open guitar signal that is somewhat ambient in the way it loosens up when running a gain stage with a higher bias current (warm bias).

SYSTEM MUTE
This is great way to keep the stage quiet in between songs. Tuners that mute are fine, but higher gain amplifiers will still “hiss” in the background. With System Mute, you’ll have a silent stage between songs. Overdubs in the studio will be tighter as well.
+GAIN
Additional preamp gain can be assigned to fall under foot switch command. This indicator tells you when you’ve added more gain.
FX LOOP
Nothing finishes out your lead tone like the perfect delay tap or multi-FX patch. Now you can have a complex tone without a complex setup. Just patch your favorite FX device in the all-tube buffered loop with the shortest cables possible and set it to your favorite patch. When you turn on the loop, your lead tone will now be complete!
SOLO BOOST
Solo boost engages the Hybrid Master Bypass, a user-set secondary latch point of the Hybrid Master for a bump in volume if desired. You can also assign the +GAIN and FX LOOP to engage with this switch, or any combination of the three functions.
