This Gibson Custom Made to Measure ’56 Les Paul is serial # 64128, one of a 5 guitar run ordered by Tone Shop Guitars in Addison, TX. You may still see photos of this exact guitar being used in their listings online as representations of the other guitars they have in stock, but please know that this very guitar, serial # 64128, is now in our possession.

We are exceptionally picky about finding anything that could be considered an imperfection on every guitar we sell. This one has some extremely light pick scratches on the top and some very light belt buckle scratches on the rear of the body. These scratches are only visible when caught under the light at just the right angle.

There is a small nick in the finish on the corner of the headstock and light scuff on the side of the body about where it would rest on the leg. We have also photographed tarnishing on the pickguard bracket but this is original to the guitar from the factory to go along with the VOS treatment and was present when Tone Shop Guitars first photographed it.

All electronics and hardware function 100% like new. The guitar has no repairs.

How Does It Play?

Wonderfully! We have it setup with the string action measuring our preferred measurement of a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12^th fret and a touch under on the high E. There is no fretbuzz. The back of the neck is flawlessly smooth.
